Can i replace the ignition coil?

yep that,s the coil. if it says the coil is bad then it needs to be changed. that wire in the middle of the cap goes to the coil. watch you don,t get the 2 other wires mixed up on the coil. the - wire goes to the distributor and the + wire goes on the other terminal on the coil.
