Wich is more powerful? Charmspeak or The Mist on Percy Jackson?

I think Charmspeak as Jason and Leo are best friends but Medea was able to make them nearly kill each other by saying Jason hated Leo and Leo hated Jason. Also I don't know if it was Charmspeak but in book 2 C.C uses Charmspeak on Percy to make him feel bad about himself and we know how strong Percy is and he fell for it
