I have a 1984 toyota tercel, it has a carburetor and a 3AC motor. I just put in a head gasket replaced all the valves. New alternator, timing belt, water pump and distributor. I installed a rebuilt carb. The car starts fine but when I get ready to drive it will go around the block and then it dies. I just bought a new battery now I'm thinking with all the jumps it has taken prior to the new battery I may have damaged my alternator. Would that cause my car to die out? Any help would be appreciated.
