pull the cap off, crank the engine and see if the rotor turns. there,s a small cog on the end of the distributor and they sometimes will get chewed up stopping the rotor button from turning. another thing you can check too. under the rotor you have a pick-up coil. the wire burns off of it and you won,t get any spark. if that,s the case then you have to pull the distributor, take the bottom cog off and separate the distributor shaft to put a new 1 in.
